Oven Installation in Perth
Electric ovens and cooktops connected and tested by a licensed electrician.
Bought a new oven and found out it doesn’t just plug in? Most ovens and cooktops are hardwired into their own circuit, which means they need a licensed electrician to connect them. It isn’t a formality either. Building and Energy are blunt about DIY electrical work, and hardwiring an oven is squarely on the list of things a homeowner can’t legally do.

Hardwired or plug-in?
Some smaller ovens plug into a dedicated outlet. Larger ovens and most electric cooktops are hardwired to their own circuit, because of the current they draw.
We check what your appliance needs against what’s already at the wall, run or upgrade the circuit if the existing one isn’t suitable, and fit an isolation switch so the appliance can be turned off safely for cleaning or repairs.
What we install
Wall ovens, freestanding ovens, and cooktops including induction and ceramic electric models, as well as oven and cooktop combinations.
If you have a gas cooktop, the gas connection is work for a licensed gas fitter. We handle the electrical side around it, including the ignition supply, the rangehood and any nearby powerpoints.
What we do on site
Ovens and cooktops draw a lot of current, so the cable size, the circuit and the protection back at the switchboard all need to suit the appliance.
We check the existing circuit against the appliance’s rating plate, connect it, fit an isolation switch, and test it before we leave. We can handle it alongside the rest of your appliance installation while we’re there, and there’s more on our ovens and cooktops page.
Before you book
Send through the make and model of the appliance, or a photo of the rating plate if you have it, along with a photo of the existing setup at the wall. That tells us whether the appliance is hardwired or plug-in and whether the existing circuit suits it, so we arrive with the right cable and gear rather than having to come back.
